Pipes burst at Apartment
We’re showing you this news article because we were talking about frozen pipes yesterday in our article “Frozen Pipes Denver” on our blog at www.plumblineservices.com. We feel for these all of the people especially at Christmas. We want to urge all people again that live in Condo’s and Apartment buildings in Denver to go to your HOA meetings, and make sure all the residents where you live have a check list to use during extremely cold weather like we’re experiencing now to make sure pipes are protected to keep pipes form bursting because it affects everyone when you are living in multi-family dwellings. Water damage from bursting pipes as a result of freezing in our cold weather must be cleaned up properly because there is a danger for all residents from mold that can form overtime from water that’s trapped where no-one can see it. Once again our prayers go out to all the residents of this apartment complex.
About 100 Displaced After Pipe Bursts At Apartment
COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (AP) ? Commerce City officials say about 100 people are displaced from their apartment complex after a single frozen pipe split and the building was left without water and electricity.
The American Red Cross set up a shelter at a local middle school for the people forced to leave their apartments on Christmas Day but officials say most residents are staying with friends and family.
Commerce City officials say people in about 40 apartment units were told they had to leave and that they would not be able to return until at least Tuesday as crews work to repair the problem.
Animal control is also helping residents house their pets until they can return to the Highland Legend Apartments.
