Samsung teamed up with Birds Eye frozen foods to develop the Smart Oven. The Smart Oven cooks your meal for you. You just pop the meal in the oven, and it will read a “Smart Code” on specially packaged foods, and determine how long the food needs to cook.

The Smart Oven takes the guesswork out of cooking. No more will you have to read the phrase “actual cooking times may vary”, and feel frustrated with not knowing how long to cook something.

Samsung and Birds Eye administered a survey on what type of kitchen appliances people would like, and the barcode oven was selected more than any other appliance.  People that are seeking ease of use and convenience will love this oven, as they don’t do any of the work. Just pop it in, and the oven scans and cooks. The Smart Oven is priced at $525, and there is no word yet on availability.
